Welcome RAGBRAI 2010!  This marks our fifth year as a host city and we are thrilled to once again be the starting point for this premier cycling event.  The City Council of Sioux City, City staff, and legions of enthusiastic and helpful volunteers are poised and ready to assist you in any way throughout your visit.

Sioux City is home to a premier biking/walking trail system that is a source of great pride in our community.  Our 55 plus miles of trails are extremely popular and well utilized by the many bicycle enthusiasts in this area.  These trails provide our citizens with safe, clean and scenic places to bike and we utilize them year round.

Sioux City is no stranger to hosting fabulous summer events.  Last June, Sioux City enjoyed another blockbuster turn-out for our 9th annual Awesome Biker Nights.  On July 4th we hosted our 19th annual Saturday in the Park festival where the Counting Crows lead singer Adam Duritz Tweeted “Sioux City was the perfect place to be today.  I can’t imagine anywhere I would rather have played on the 4th of July.”  We are confident participants will leave Sioux City feeling equally pleased and thinking, “I can’t imagine a better town to host the start of RAGBRAI!”

We welcome the opportunity to be your RAGBRAI 2010 starting point and promise you outstanding hospitality, great food, and good times.  We look forward to seeing you in Sioux City!
